I don't know why, but I just love looking at stuff on the ground. As a kid, I used to find money and coins and all of the time. There's a lot going on down there, interesting colors, shapes and compositions. I found myself stopping to take pictures manhole covers, then utility covers, and then construction markings. It was evident that I wasn't just taking a picture of the manhole cover, but instead, amazing compositions of color, textures, cigarette butts, cracks, spray paint, leaves, dirt.
